About the job IT Service Desk TechnicianNetwork Overdrive Australia is hiring in DubaiWe are looking for an IT Service Desk Technicianable to work evenings and be part of a global team of IT professionals.You will be required to provide technical solutions to Corporate clients about Desktop, Networking (LAN, WAN, VPN, Wifi and Internet), and Cyber Security.Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly.You should also have excellent English and Customer Service skills and with an interest to speak to our clients on the phone about minor IT frustrations and major outages.Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently for our clients anywhere in the world.ResponsibilitiesEnsure North American customers are receiving timely response to their needs during USA business hours via phone, email, chat and ticketing system.Take necessary actions to have customers Azure Infrastructure, Windows domain servers, Exchange servers, file/print servers, application servers operational on 24 X 7 basis.Conduct timely updating OS patches, security patches and service packs to minimise cyber security threatsInvestigate cyber security events in SIEMManage email quarantines and perform analysis of malware.Troubleshoots and resolves critical hardware and software problems.Monitors and tests system performance and provides performance statistics and reports.Recommends and executes modifications systems to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.Define and perform system backups and recovery procedures to ensure data protection.Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recoveryFamiliarity with various operating systems and platformsProvide Support in the following areas :HP and Dell Workstations and LaptopsAzure and Microsoft 365 PlatformsFortinet firewalls, switches and WAPsActive DirectoryWindows Server OSHyper-VFile and Print ServerWindows Active Directory inc Group PolicyRequirements and skillsProven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar roleResourcefulness and problem-solving aptitudeBSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plusNote: We will only consider applications that have a 'no objection certification' from their current employer.Job Types: Permanent, Full-time#J-18808-Ljbffr
