Job Description As an IT Portfolio & Asset Strategy Manager at our company, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the IT portfolio supporting Sales, Marketing & Customer Support functions. Your responsibilities will include maintaining portfolio health, cost management, and strategic alignment. Here are the key aspects of your role:
- **Portfolio Oversight & Reporting:**
- Keep track of the SM&CS IT portfolio, including applications and tools.
- Regularly report on portfolio size, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), tech debt reduction, and asset utilization through Tableau dashboards.
- Communicate portfolio trends, risks, and opportunities to senior stakeholders.
- **Strategic Asset Management:**
- Define a strategy (Tolerate, Invest, Migrate, Eliminate) for each asset in the CMDB based on the Gartner TIME framework.
- Collaborate with domain owners to assess portfolio fitness and identify rationalization opportunities.
- Evaluate portfolio vulnerabilities in collaboration with Cyber Security.
- **Governance & Shadow IT Control:**
- Work with global and local teams to identify and address shadow IT risks.
- Ensure compliance with IT governance standards and alignment with key stakeholders.
- Conduct regular reviews with domain owners to validate asset ownership and strategic fit.
- **Stakeholder Engagement:**
- Coordinate with business, IT, and regional teams in a matrixed organization.
- Prepare and deliver executive presentations to convey portfolio insights and strategic recommendations effectively.
**Qualifications Required:**
**Hard Skills:**
- Understanding of enterprise systems in Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support domains.
- Experience in IT asset lifecycle management and CMDB governance.
- Proficiency in BI tools like Tableau or Power BI for dashboard creation.
- Knowledge of the Gartner TIME framework for application portfolio management.
- Familiarity with tools such as ServiceNow, LeanIX, or other ITFM/CMDB platforms.
**Soft Skills:**
- Ability to navigate matrixed, global organizations with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical mindset for synthesizing complex data into actionable insights.
- Structured and results-oriented problem-solving approach.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Business, or Engineering.
- Certifications like ITIL, TOGAF, or PMP would be advantageous.
- Experience in large-scale IT transformation or digital enablement projects in a B2B or industrial context.
