Job Description

InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay is seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT/AV Officer to support the smooth operation of all information technology and audio-visual systems across the property. This role is essential in maintaining seamless connectivity, system security, and high‑quality AV experiences for guests and colleagues, in line with InterContinental brand standards and Forbes luxury service expectations.Located in the heart of Dubai’s Business Bay, the property features 176 luxury serviced residences. As an IT/AV Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring uninterrupted operations, secure infrastructure, and exceptional digital experiences across the property.Your Day‑to‑DayEvery day is different, but you’ll mostly be:IT Operations & Infrastructure SupportProvide first and second‑level technical support for hardware, software, and network issuesMaintain and monitor hotel IT infrastructure including servers, switches, firewalls, workstations, and printersSupport core hotel systems including PMS, POS, IPTV, HSIA (Wi‑Fi), telephony, and back‑office applicationsEnsure scheduled backups are completed and verifiedAssist in system installations, upgrades, and patches as directed by the Cluster Director of ITAudio‑Visual (AV) OperationsSet up, test, and operate AV equipment for meetings, events, and internal functionsTroubleshoot projectors, LED screens, sound systems, microphones, and video‑conferencing platformsCoordinate with Events and F&B teams to ensure seamless AV supportMaintain proper storage, preventive maintenance, and inventory of AV equipmentNetwork & Security ComplianceMonitor network performance and eliminate issues where requiredSupport implementation of cybersecurity measures and brand IT security standardsAssist in managing user accounts, access controls, and system permissionsEnsure compliance with data protection policies and corporate IT guidelinesSystems Maintenance & Asset ManagementPerform preventive maintenance of IT and AV equipmentMaintain updated IT asset registers and documentationReport recurring technical issues and recommend operational improvementsCoordinate with external vendors under the guidance of the Cluster Director of ITTeam Collaboration & Service DeliveryProvide prompt, professional IT support to all departmentsDeliver basic IT orientation or guidance to colleagues when neededParticipate in departmental meetings and IT briefingsMaintain professional grooming and conduct aligned with luxury brand standardsWhat We Need from YouQualifications & ExperienceDiploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fieldMinimum 2–3 years of IT support experience in hospitality or corporate environmentsExperience supporting cluster or multi‑property environments is an advantageExposure to luxury hospitality operations preferredTechnical SkillsStrong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, Wi‑Fi systems)Experience with Windows Server environments and end‑user device managementKnowledge of hotel systems (PMS, POS, IPTV, HSIA) preferredHands‑on experience with AV systems and conferencing technologyUnderstanding of cybersecurity and IT compliance standardsEducation & CertificationsBachelor’s degree or diploma in IT or related fieldCertifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or Cisco preferredAV certifications are an advantagePersonal AttributesStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsDetail‑oriented with high system accuracyService‑driven mindset with strong communication skillsAbility to work under pressure in a fast‑paced luxury environmentFlexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidaysReliable, proactive, and disciplinedWhat You Can Expect From UsWe give our people everything they need to succeed — from a competitive salary that rewards all your hard work to a wide range of benefits designed to help you live your best work life.
