Interpreter/Unit Clerk-Tower B7 - Medical WingAbu Dhabi, United Arab EmiratesJob DescriptionResponsible for performing a variety of interpretation, translation, and medical escort services to assist non-English speaking Arab patients receiving care.ResponsibilitiesPerforms a variety of interpretation and translation services to assist non-English speaking Arab patients.Relay instructions and other medical information accurately to patients and their families, and make sure they understand.Assists non-English speaking patients with cross-cultural orientation to understand the nuances of medical care systems.Provides verbal and written communication between health care providers, clinical staff, and patients/visitors.Articulates and documents information accurately to convey patient’s questions, and concerns and ensure messages are consistent with risk management directives.Performs other related duties incidental to the work or as per the instructions by the Manager.Participates in on-call coverage to provide interpretation/translation services during non-business hours and business hours as assigned.Provides and maintains required documentation as required.Maintains positive working relationships within the department/section and between various facility departments.Participates in all team efforts as required and collaborating with other members of the team to carry out work smoothly.Provides accurate interpretation and translation of the information in direct service to physicians and/or other health care providers who are seeing patients who cannot speak or understand English, when specifically required by the provider.Precisely and accurately interprets information given by the provider into equivalent terminology in the patient's native language.Assists in translating medical text from English on behalf of internal and external customers; may translate patient education information as specifically requested.Assists with patient follow-up as necessary, including contacting patients with appointment reminders.AccountabilitiesEvaluates whether the quality standards of nursing documentation are maintained accurately as per Organizational policy and standards.Ensures that quality standards of nursing documentation are maintained according to Organizational policy.Facilitates reporting of incidents occurring within the organization by proper coordination and facilitating corrective action taken.Maintains strict patient confidentiality in accordance with the organization’s policies and standards.Establishes and maintains quality service and positive interaction with all patients, customers, visitors, healthcare providers, and clinical employees.QualificationsExperience :-Required: 2-4 years of relevant experienceDesired: Experience in a large healthcare facilityEducational Qualification: Required:Diploma in Business Administration or English Language or relevant fieldDesired:Bachelor degree in Business Administration or in English language or relevant fieldJob InfoJob Identification 2739Job Category AdministrationPosting Date 02/25/2026, 05:06 AMDegree Level Bachelor's DegreeJob Schedule Full timeWorking Type RegularLocations Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) Hospital, Abu Dhabi, AEBusiness Unit SSMC BULegal Employer Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City LLC#J-18808-Ljbffr
