International Accounting Manager

This position is based in Dubai UAEThe International Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounting function for all international sales offices (Dubai Malaysia Algeria Mozambique Australia Jakarta) to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal accounting policies and procedures.Responsibilities Include:Prepare monthly financial package which includes financial statements commentary and supporting schedulesSupport month-end and year-end close process across multiple locationsSupport customer invoicing and collections when requiredOversee AP function in all applicable locationsPreparation of payroll and required reportingManage banking function including deposits disbursements and reconciliationsOversee timely and accurate management of cash flowsAnalyze financial information and present summarized financial resultsIdentify errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spendingLiaise with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of annual auditLiaise with external service provides to ensure timely and accurate completion of commodity tax (VAT/GST) reports and corporate income tax filingsPrepare monthly reconciliations and year end working paper binderProvide input into departments goal setting processLiaise with Corporate Accounting to improve financial proceduresOversee preparation of the annual budget and forecasting processProvide technical accounting support and interpretationDevelop and maintain compliance checklists for applicable international officesCalculate and analyze variances from the budget and report significant issues to managementPrepare variety of ad hoc reports for management to assist in decision makingDevelop and continually monitor best practice financial accounting internal control procedures and processes to maximize impact and efficiencyMaintain fixed asset continuity scheduleCompliance and enforcement of delegation of authority across all locationsEnsure signing authorities are approved at corporate level with more than one signature to execute any bank transactions (including general AP)Qualifications/Experience/Attributes:International experience managing processes and teams in different geographic locations.Recognized professional accounting designation.Minimum of 5 years of senior level accounting experience.Proven experience in a Senior Accounting capacityExperience with business operations and accounting requirements associated with varied international jurisdictions.Solid understanding of international taxation issues and compliance requirements.In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)/ International Financial Accounting Standards (IFRS).Awareness of business trends.Familiarity with generating and analyzing financial statements.Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.Hands-on experience with accounting software packages like QuickBooks Xero.Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.Accuracy and attention to detail.Aptitude for numbers and strong quantitative skills.Proven problem solving analytical and decision-making skills.Able to work independently and effectively manage diverse responsibilities.Must enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.Able to travel and adjust schedule to accommodate internal calls and work on occasion.Superior written and oral communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills.Well organized and self-motivated.Computer literate with strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications and ERP systems.Ability to speak French Portuguese and Arabic is an asset.The Stream-Flo Group of Companies consisting of Stream-Flo Industries Ltd. and Master Flo Valve Inc. are privately owned and operated Canadian manufacturers of wellhead production gate valve and check valve equipment as well as chokes specialty control valves and supporting our inception in 1962 we have become a recognized leader for our superior technology innovative designs and top quality continued product line development the Stream-Flo Group has grown to be one of the largest manufacturers of our kind offering our solutions to oil and gas regions throughout the world.At Stream-Flo we do not use AI in our screening process.
