And that’s where you come in.</p><p><b>Job Description:</b></p><p>Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic, self‑motivated<b>Interface&Integration Manager</b>. The successful candidate will have solid experience in the rail industry, managing wayside installation design and routing cables along the track and within technical rooms. This position is based in<b>Abu Dhabi, UAE.</b></p><p><b>Main Accountability:</b></p><p>Manages or performs engineering work related to the planning, design, installation, and structural reliability of rail system projects.</p><h3>1. Interface Management Governance</h3><ul><li>Establish, implement, and maintain the<b>Interface Management process</b>across the full project lifecycle (tender, design, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover).</li><li>Define, identify, and manage<b>internal, external, inter‑contract, and intra‑contract interfaces</b>between all project stakeholders (civil works, systems, contractors, operators, utilities, third parties).</li><li>Own and maintain the<b>Interface Register, Interface Matrix, and Interface Control Documents (ICDs)</b>, ensuring timely updates and formal closure of interfaces.</li></ul><h3>2. System Integration Oversight</h3><ul><li>Lead and coordinate<b>overall system integration activities</b>, ensuring compatibility and alignment across subsystems, disciplines, and contractors.</li><li>Ensure integration of<b>new systems with existing and future infrastructure</b>, meeting required levels of reliability, safety, performance, and operability.</li><li>Supervise integration‑related design, construction, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with<b>technical, safety, quality, schedule, and cost requirements</b>.</li></ul><h3>3. Stakeholder Coordination&Communication</h3><ul><li>Act as the<b>single point of coordination for interface and integration matters</b>with the Client, Engineer, Operator, contractors, and third parties.</li><li>Chair and coordinate<b>interface meetings</b>, technical workshops, and coordination reviews with subsystem leads and discipline managers.</li><li>Ensure clear communication, documentation flow, and timely resolution of interface issues across all involved parties.</li></ul><h3>4. Change&Risk Management</h3><ul><li>Manage interface‑related changes originating from design development, site conditions, or stakeholder requirements.</li><li>Ensure impact assessments are conducted for changes affecting<b>schedule, cost, design, safety, RAMS, and maintainability</b>.</li><li>Identify, assess, and mitigate<b>interface and integration risks</b>, escalating critical issues where required.</li></ul><h3>5. Quality, Safety&Compliance</h3><ul><li>Ensure interface and integration activities comply with the<b>Quality Management System, contract requirements, and applicable standards</b>.</li><li>Support safety, RAMS, and security objectives by coordinating with relevant specialists and ensuring interface risks are addressed in designs.</li><li>Participate in design reviews and<b>sign‑off ICDs at defined Design Control Points</b>.</li></ul><h3>6. Planning, Reporting&Performance Monitoring</h3><ul><li>Support the Project Manager and Engineering Director in<b>planning, reviewing, and monitoring integration activities</b>against project milestones.</li><li>Prepare and issue<b>interface and integration reports</b>, progress updates, and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Monitor interface resolution performance and ensure timely closure of interface actions.</li></ul><h3>7. Resource&Team Coordination</h3><ul><li>Coordinate and guide<b>Interface Coordinators, subsystem leads, and discipline teams</b>on interface identification and resolution.</li><li>Ensure engineering and interface resources are appropriately allocated in line with project needs and individual competencies.</li></ul><p>Thank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
