Position: Instrument TechnicianLocation: Ras Laffan, QatarDuration: 3 Months (Extendable Contract)Salary: QAR 4,000 + Food, Accommodation & Transportation (FAT) ProvidedIndustry: Oil & Gas / Industrial MaintenanceOverviewWe are seeking a skilled Instrument Technician to join our team for a short-term project in Ras Laffan. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of a wide range of field instrumentation and control systems to ensure optimal plant performance and safety.ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance, inspection, and calibration of field instruments such as transmitters, sensors, pressure gauges, control valves, flow meters, and analyzers.Diagnose and repair instrumentation faults and ensure minimum equipment downtime.Assist in loop checking, commissioning, and start-up activities for new installations or shutdown projects.Ensure proper documentation and reporting of maintenance activities.Adhere to all safety standards and permit-to-work procedures during site operations.Coordinate with the control room and maintenance team for instrumentation-related issues.Support the engineering team in implementing upgrades or modifications to instrumentation systems.QualificationsDiploma / ITI in Instrumentation or equivalent technical qualification.Minimum 35 years of experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.Strong knowledge of field instruments, PLC/DCS systems, and calibration tools.Experience in plant shutdown, maintenance, or commissioning projects preferred.Ability to interpret P&ID, loop drawings, and instrument datasheets.Good communication and teamwork skills.Must be able to work in Ras Laffan on a 3-month extendable contract.Benefits / Additional DetailsSalary: QAR 4,000 per monthFood, Accommodation, and Transportation (FAT) provided by the company.Extendable contract based on performance and project requirements.
