Job DescriptionPosition Title: Instrument TechnicianDivision: MaintenanceCategory: Skilled WorkerLocation: Eastern Province, Saudi ArabiaSalary: SAR 2,500 - 3,500 + FATJob SummaryThe Instrument Technician will be responsible for the calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of field instruments and control systems used in casting and forging plant operations. The role requires strong hands‑on experience with temperature, pressure, flow, and level instrumentation, along with control systems and safety interlocks to ensure reliable and safe plant performance.Key ResponsibilitiesInstrumentation Maintenance & CalibrationCalibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot temperature sensors including thermocouples and RTDsMaintain and calibrate pyrometers used in furnace and heat treatment operationsService and calibrate pressure transmitters, pressure gauges, and differential pressure instrumentsMaintain flow meters and level transmitters used in casting and process systemsControl Valves & ActuatorsMaintain and troubleshoot control valves and actuators (pneumatic / electrical)Perform valve stroke testing and loop checkingEnsure accurate control response and positioningControl Systems & AutomationAssist in maintenance and troubleshooting of PLC systems and control panelsSupport SCADA and HMI systems, including basic diagnostics and fault identificationPerform loop checking, signal verification, and I/O testingSpecialized InstrumentationMaintain and calibrate gas analyzers, load cells, and vibration sensorsEnsure proper functioning of safety interlock and alarm systemsTest emergency shutdown and safety systems as per proceduresSafety & ComplianceFollow all instrumentation safety procedures, permit systems, and HSE guidelinesUse appropriate PPE and safe work practices during maintenance activitiesMaintain accurate calibration records, inspection logs, and maintenance documentationRequirementsExperience RequirementMinimum 5+ years of hands‑on experience in industrial instrumentation maintenanceProven experience in casting and forging plants or heavy industrial environmentsExperience handling furnace-related instrumentation is highly preferredSkills & CompetenciesStrong understanding of industrial instrumentation and calibration techniquesAbility to read P&IDs, loop diagrams, and instrument datasheetsGood troubleshooting and analytical skillsStrong safety awareness and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a maintenance teamWork Environment & ConditionsPlant-based role in casting and forging facilitiesExposure to heat, dust, noise, and industrial processesShift-based work with overtime applicable as per operational needs#J-18808-Ljbffr
