The role is predominantly design based; your role will focus on advanced planning, hydraulic modelling, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and project specifications. Key responsibilities include certifying as-built documentation, approving design modifications, and managing seamless interface between design and construction. Additionally, you will participate in occasional site visits to assess existing airport conditions and collect essential data for project planning.Regulatory Compliance and CertificationServe as the Engineer of Record (EOR), registered/certified with the relevant local authority.Review and certify as-built documentation, ensuring alignment with approved design specifications.Issue Design Construction Compliance Certificates in accordance with regulatory requirements.Design and Engineering ExpertiseDesign service structures such as storage tanks, storm water channels, lift stations, ponds.Prepare and review technical documents, specifications and calculations.Conduct thorough reviews of shop drawings for compliance.Plan, design and integrate wet utility systems, including water supply, wastewater, stormwater, firefighting, irrigation.Conduct wet utilities design using specialized software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.Lead design reviews and confirm compliance with regulatory requirements and project specifications. In-depth understanding of relevant KSA authority guidelines.Review and approve design modifications necessitated by site‑specific conditions.Project and Information ManagementManage and deliver assigned projects and tasks within budget, ensuring timely and quality outcomes.Support the development of technical approaches, scope definitions, and fee proposals.Use the CDE appropriately to manage the production of BIM Models and Drawings in compliance with Project and/or Jacobs BIM Standards.Coordinate multi-discipline models and facilitate effective interface management between design and construction teams to prevent misalignments and ensure buildability.Carry out all necessary design and interface management activities to ensure correct integration between the design and construction packages and to avoid any gaps, misalignment, or buildability issues.Innovation & Continuous ImprovementPromote AI and Digitization within Wet Utilities Engineering.Keep up to date with the latest trends and implement new digital tools for efficiency.Here’s what you’ll needMust have a Civil/Mechanical Engineering Degree.Must have at least 15 years of experience.Must have at least 7–8 years of relevant civil infrastructure and airport project experience.Must have project experience in the Middle East.Must have experience in design of wet utility systems such as water distribution, sewage collection, fire water network, drainage network.Willingness to travel.Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software, experience in coordinated 3‑D modeling of utility systems using Civil 3D and other wet utilities design software.Thorough understanding of hydraulic modeling to inform design decisions and system performance, design plans and utilities profile, catch basin sizing/spacing, manhole sizing/spacing, hydrant spacing.Desirable Skills and Experience (Preferred but Not Mandatory)Experience in construction monitoring to confirm compliance with approved design documents and drawings.Jacobs.
