Information Technology Officer

Job DescriptionThe Information Technology Officer is responsible for providing technical support to employees and will handle the 3rd level of support that involves contact with external stakeholders to further process requests when required and inform the SPOC to resolve issues. The IT Officer is also responsible for the supervision, implementation, and maintenance of the School’s computing needs, ensuring the smooth and effective operation of all computer systems, related applications, hardware, and software used within the School.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervise information technology and computer systems.Achieve KPI deadlines and assist in data gathering, documenting, and presenting to management.Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and data operations.Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures. Recommend IT strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes. Oversee and determine timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages.Ensure data security, network access, and backup systems.Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy.Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in a timely manner.Review systems and assess their outcomes.Preserve assets, information security, and control structures.Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science from an accredited university, preferably with a professional certification such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA).3+ years of proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management.Knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.Job InformationJob Category: Information Technology TechnicianAdvertiser: Mohammed bin Rashid School of GovernmentEducational level: BachelorRequired Nationality: UAE OnlyMonthly Salary: 10,001-20,000Schedule: Full timeJob Posting Date: 25/03/2026Unposting Date: 25/04/2026#J-18808-Ljbffr
