At CIS, diversity is celebrated, and the environment is designed to nurture a community of learners prepared to thrive in a global society.Role DescriptionCanadian International School (CIS), Abu Dhabi is seeking a passionate, student-centered Inclusion Teacher to join our dynamic learning community for the 2026–2027 academic year. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Abu Dhabi. The Inclusion Teacher will work closely with students requiring additional support to ensure their academic, social, and emotional needs are met. Responsibilities include designing and delivering individualized education plans, collaborating with classroom teachers and support staff, and engaging students in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment. The teacher will also work with parents to provide support and progress updates.QualificationsApplicants must meet ADEK qualification and eligibility requirements for Inclusion/SEN teachers in Abu Dhabi:Education & QualificationsA Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, Inclusion, SEN, or a related fieldORA Bachelor’s Degree in Education plus a recognized postgraduate qualification in Special Education/InclusionANDA recognized teaching qualification/license (e.g., B.Ed., PGCE, provincial/state teaching license, preferably Alberta Certification)ExperienceMinimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience in inclusion, special education, or learning supportExperience working in an international or multicultural school setting preferredExperience developing and implementing IEPsExperience supporting students with diverse needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, speech/language needs)Understanding of assessment accommodations and curriculum adaptationFamiliarity with Microsoft 365 and assistive technologiesExperience using data to monitor intervention effectivenessStrong communication and collaboration skillsCommitment to inclusive education and student wellbeingCIS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
