Job Description

Overview We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician with strong hands-on expertise in Carrier screw chillers, specifically Carrier model 30XA1312-A000-2PE, to support the maintenance and repair of chillers at a large commercial building. The role will focus on diagnosing, repairing, and optimizing the performance of chilled water systems to ensure reliable building cooling operations. Key Responsibilities Chiller Maintenance & Repair Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Carrier screw chillers, with focus on model 30XA1312-A000-2PE Diagnose system faults, alarms, and performance issues in chilled water systems Carry out mechanical, electrical, and control troubleshooting on screw chillers Replace faulty components, sensors, valves, compressors, and controls as required Ensure chillers operate within design efficiency and manufacturer specifications System Performance & Reliability Monitor operating parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow, and load Identify root causes of recurring failures or inefficiencies Recommend technical solutions to stabilize and improve chiller performance Coordinate with facilities and building management for shutdowns and testing Documentation & Reporting Maintain service logs, fault reports, and maintenance records Prepare technical reports on equipment condition and required repairs Support warranty claims and vendor coordination when required Skills Strong hands-on experience with Carrier screw chillers Proven experience working on Carrier model 30XA series (or similar) Solid knowledge of: Screw compressors Chilled water systems HVAC electrical and control circuits Refrigeration cycles and troubleshooting Preferred Qualifications Diploma or Technical Certification in HVAC, Refrigeration, or Mechanical Engineering Experience working in commercial buildings, malls, hospitals, or high-rise facilities Ability to read wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and technical manuals
