As we continue to expand, we are looking for a qualified and experienced HSE Officer to join our HSE team.As a HSE Officer one has to ensure the effective implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and practices at the construction project site, complying with UAE regulatory requirements, client HSE expectations, and company standards to achieve zero incidents and promote a strong safety culture.Key AccountabilitiesSite Safety ImplementationEnsure the site-specific HSE Plan is fully implemented and maintained across all construction activitiesMonitor and verify the application of safe work practices and enforce the implementation of safe work practicesInspections and Compliance MonitoringConduct daily site inspections, audits, and safety observations to identify unsafe acts and conditionsCoordinate corrective actions and verify closure of safety issuesRisk Assessment and Permit to WorkSupport preparation and review of Method Statements, Risk Assessments (MSRA/JHA), and Permit to Work systemsEnsure high-risk activities have proper controls in place before executionIncident Reporting and InvestigationConduct initial reporting, investigation, and documentation of incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditionsSupport root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actionsTraining and AwarenessConduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and job-specific safety briefingsMaintain training attendance logs and verify workforce understanding of safety requirementsDocumentation and ReportingMaintain accurate HSE records, including inspections, inductions, PTWs, and incident logsSubmit weekly and monthly HSE reports as per scheduleStakeholder EngagementCollaborate with site teams, subcontractors, and HSE personnel to promote a safe working environmentParticipate in internal and client safety meetingsKey CompetenciesPositive attitude towards safety compliance and improvementStrong observation and reporting skillsGood interpersonal skills to communicate with diverse workforceWillingness to learn and develop towards a Senior HSE roleAbility to work in multicultural environments and under pressureQualifications, Experiences, Core CompetenciesBachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering or related disciplineLevel 6 Qualification in OHSISO 45001:2018 Lead AuditorMembership - Full membership CSP, Cert.IOSH, MIIRSM etcMinimum Experience (number of years):Minimum of 7-10Years of experience in HSE role within construction projects as principal contractor in UAE or GCC handling High rise or complex civil projectsTechnical SkillsGood knowledge of DMCOP, DDA HSE GuidelinesProfessional level skill on Auditing and Inspection and familiar with ISO 45001 guidelinesTrained in First Aid, Fire SafetyAdvance level skill in construction risk management, development of SOP's, accident investigation, multi-tier activity managementGood Knowledge UAE fire life and safety codeGood knowledge on emergency plans, emergency rescue, incident reportingWorking knowledge on IT - MS officeBenefitsPrivate Health InsurancePerformance BonusAnnual air ticket allowanceWhy Join IRTH Group?At IRTH Group, we're not just a company; we're a family committed to building a brighter future together.
