HSE Engineer- Al Ain

Our Middle East operations have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety Engineer to join our UAE team. The role will entail site work to monitor and audit construction contractors from a Health and Safety aspect.Project Location: Al AinWe require a qualified Health and Safety professional with strong systems and auditing background in managing and monitoring construction contractors. The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and capabilities.Minimum 12 years’ relevant construction HSE experienceOSHAD RegistrationNEBOSH Dip Level 6 or equivalent such as OTHM Dip Level 6NEBOSH qualification (NEBOSH Diploma or International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety)ISO45001:2018 Lead Auditor CertificateCapable Auditor with sound knowledge of ISO 18001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 (preferably certified by an International Accreditation Body)Experience in auditing construction contractorsThe ability to set up HSE processes and procedures for the safe running of a construction sitePerforming all the Health, Safety and Environment responsibilities (HSE) in accordance with company HSE management system and codesExperience in delivering and preparing training and technical presentations to staff and clientsContinuous monitoring of safety inspections and issues as they occur on site and making reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basisTraining the staff on HSE codes and practicesConducting risk analysis, job hazard and job safety analysisAccident / incident investigation and reportingExperience working in the Middle East region is essentialFor Abu Dhabi based candidates, GHD will provide transportation from Abu Dhabi to Al Ain.Take on some of the world's toughest challenges- with everyone at GHD backing you every step of the way.At GHD, we celebrate the power of a multicultural workforce and champion individual achievement.
