Identifying and assessing potential safety risks and implementing measures to mitigate these risks.Roles and ResponsibilitiesManage and supervise the supervisors and HSE staff on the siteSupervise compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and procedures on the project site.Develop and implement safety programs, including conducting safety audits and inspections, providing safety training to workers, and documenting safety records.Identify and assess potential safety risks, and implement measures to mitigate these risks.Investigate incidents and accidents on the project site, and develop and implement corrective actions.Develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.Liaise with clients to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.Provide safety input into project plans, schedules, and budgets.Participate in safety reviews and risk assessments.Keep up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and standards, and ensure compliance on the project site.Focuses on HSE priorities and lead a team of Crane Operators, Riggers and Banksmen for Safe Lifting Practices across different locations of the organization.QualificationsEducationHolds 3 or 4 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalentExperience15+ years of experience in construction projects (from project starts to completion)Extensive knowledge of project specifications and standards, and medium to large-sized project experienceRelevant experience in oil / gas / petrochemical or power plants lifting related experience of not less than 7 years with minimum 5 years in similar positionEngineering & Construction Company working experienceHave adequate training and hands on professional experienceCompetent to act as an Appointed Person for lifting equipmentKnowledge or CertificationCompetent knowledge in HSEKnowledge in performing ERT Member for incident/accident situation, chemical spill, fire, working at height, Confined Space vessel horizontal & vertical search and rescue.Knowledge in PSSR pre-start up safety review assessment, plant operation and shutdown as well.Knowledgeable in documentation and presentation.Good management and leadership skills with responsible attitude.Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Power Point Presentation applications.Able to read and interpret the heavy-rigging plan.Be able to write Lifting plans, supervise and execute critical lifting in oil & gas companies;Be able to make a rigging plan by using Auto CAD and understand heavy rigging planBe familiar with international standard related to Lifting engineering practices with sufficient knowledge in interpretation and to bring excellence in Change management;To be trained for the 4-day course of Appointed Person by an ADNOC Group approved Training Company using approved Tutor and be assessed every 3 years, as defined in Appendix. He shall be trained and assessed on the same type of offshore or onshore Crane i.e. offshore.
