Job Description

Job PurposeOversee and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations applicable to our project workforce, including subcontractors, manpower suppliers, and service providers. This role is crucial in managing compliance audits, handling legal situations, and fostering a positive work environment while mitigating risks related to labor disputes and legal violations.Key AccountabilitiesManage and audit compliance with labor laws and regulations for the project workforce.Conduct regular audits of subcontractors, manpower suppliers, and service providers to ensure adherence to HR and labor standards.Collaborate with legal teams to address any legal issues or disputes involving workforce compliance.Develop and implement industrial relations strategies to promote a fair and harmonious work environment.Advise management on compliance risks and recommend necessary actions to avoid legal violations.Serve as a point of contact for workforce inquiries related to labor law compliance and dispute resolution.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local, national, and international labor laws and regulations.Facilitate training and workshops for management and staff on compliance and industrial relations best practices.Prepare reports and documentation related to compliance audits and risk assessments.Foster relationships with labor unions, work councils, and relevant government agencies.Grievance Handling & Dispute Resolution: Establish and oversee site-level grievance mechanisms and handle industrial disputes, strikes, work stoppages, and labor unrest with minimal operational impact.Discipline handling: Implement disciplinary frameworks, conduct internal enquiries, and enforce site rules, standing orders, and codes of conduct while ensuring principles of natural justice.Health, Safety & Labor Welfare: Coordinate with HSE teams to ensure statutory health, safety, and welfare standards, including worker camps, sanitation, medical facilities, and safety compliance.Stakeholder & Community Management: Manage relationships with local administration, police, community leaders, and political stakeholders to address site-level labor and social issues.Job RequirementsMinimum Years of experience: 5-9 Years.Experience in project-based environments or the construction industry and Compliance.Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.Professional Certificates: HR Diploma.Language proficiency: Intermediate.Computer skills: ERP systems, MS office.#J-18808-Ljbffr
