HPC Linux Engineer (m/f/d)

A leading global technology organization specializing in high‑performance computing and advanced digital infrastructure seeks an HPC Linux Engineer to support, manage, and optimize its mission‑critical computing environments used for simulation and computational workloads.Role: HPC Linux EngineerResponsibilitiesAdminister, maintain, and optimize Linux-based high‑performance computing (HPC) clusters.Install, configure, and optimize simulation software and related applications to support complex workloads.Monitor and tune performance across compute, storage, and network layers to ensure maximum system availability.Manage job scheduling and workload distribution using HPC schedulers (e.g., Slurm, PBS, or equivalent).Handle incident resolution, root cause analysis, preventive maintenance, and technical documentation.Ensure system security, patching, compliance, and collaborate closely with internal teams and vendors.Qualifications and Skills5+ years of experience working with Linux systems within HPC environments.Strong expertise in HPC operations and parallel file systems (e.g., BeeGFS).Hands‑on experience with job schedulers and workload managers.Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and systems analysis capabilities.Ability to work in high‑security or sensitive computing environments.Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams, vendors, and application owners.Halian GroupWith over 28 years of experience, we have come to understand that innovation is the only way to provide agile, practical solutions that transform businesses and careers.
