Job Description
ResponsibilitiesThe post holder will:Leadership:to support the sustainable growth and development of the facility by managing the financial governance framework, providing sufficient support regarding financial management and ensuring that all patient admin processes are continuously improved and updatedLead and manage the team efficiently and effectivelyMonitor financial governance by ensuring appropriate KPIs and managing costs/budgets for the department while suggesting opportunities for revenue enhancements (including insights, analysis and interpretation of costs/revenue for all areas of the hospital)Constant monitoring and review of the effectiveness of processes and functions under the preview, implementing internal process improvements to enhance patient flow and satisfactionProvide effective and efficient operational support when needed, including championing digital transformation and automation initiativesParticipate in long‑term strategic planning alongside hospital leadershipPatient Administration Operations:to provide guidance to the front‑office management and monitor the effectiveness of all relevant processes with the departments in direct report to this positionOversee and manage non‑clinical departments (call center, front desk, registration, admissions, scheduling, cashiering, revenue cycle, medical records, VIP coordination, admissions/discharge, housekeeping and security), including patient accessKnowledge of patient administration processes and systems; ensuring accurate data entry and maintenance of patient demographic and insurance informationEnsure data management processes are implemented and provide oversight of medical recordsEnsure timely and accurate billing, understanding of funders, their processes and rulesContinuously monitor functions within the patient administration process and address problem areasEnsure smooth coordination between administrative and clinical teamsStaff Management:Lead and supervise departments/teams to ensure courteous, efficient service delivery and seamless patient transitionsProvide training, performance reviews and continuous development for administrative staffOversee staffing ratios, scheduling, and costs to ensure efficiency and relevant coverageCompliance and Quality Assurance:Knowledge of applicable UAE regulations and lawsEnsure compliance with UAE laws and healthcare regulatory authority requirements (DHA, DOH, MOHAP)Conduct regular audits of patient records and administrative processesSupport the implementation of quality improvement initiatives and patient safety measuresPatient Experience & Communication:Act as an escalation point for patient complaints related to administrative issuesWork closely with clinical and nursing teams to coordinate patient flow and discharge planningMaintain a patient‑first approach in all administrative processesSystems & Reporting:Oversee the implementation and use of HIS (Hospital Information System) and EMR (Electronic Medical Records), as applicableGenerate regular reports on administrative KPIs, performance metrics and action plans (admissions, discharges, patient wait times, disconnected bills, pending cash bills and administrative bottlenecks)Analyze, interpret and evaluate data to support management in business decisionsCollaborate with IT and operations for system updates and upgradesQualificationsEducation and CertificationBachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, or related fieldMaster’s degree preferredAdditional certification relevant areas – desirableKnowledge and SkillsExcellent command of oral and written English; knowledge in Arabic desirableAchievement of core objectives in line with the expectations of management and stakeholdersAbility to work constructively and interact professionally with othersAbility to coordinate multiple tasks, adjust to changing priorities and work within deadlinesAbility to attend meetings outside of normal business hoursExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)Possess a “can do” and flexible approachDemonstrate highly developed communication and organisational skills at all levelsWork autonomously with minimal supervision and within a team in a complex clinical settingDemonstrate knowledge and practice of confidentiality policyHospital Administrator Benefit from Having Experience/Competency in:Patient experience and satisfaction improvement strategiesHealthcare analytics and quality reportingCrisis management and emergency preparednessContract negotiation and vendor managementInsurance and claims processing in UAEStakeholder engagement and public relationsExperienceMinimum 8+ years’ experience in a relevant role, including 5 years in hospital operations at the administrative leadership level in UAE will be an advantageJob InfoJob Identification 10747Job Category AdministrationPosting Date 03/11/2026, 09:47 AMApply Before 04/29/2026, 08:00 PMJob Schedule Full timeLocations Bareen International Hospital, MBZC,
