Job Title: Health & Safety OfficerLocation: Saudi ArabiaContract: Type: Full TimeIndustry: EducationVHR International Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Health & Safety Officer.The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality policies in line with UK and local legislation, as well as international standards such as OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001. This is a proactive, prevention-focused role requiring strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to influence health and safety culture across an organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesEnforce HSE policies and maintain compliance with OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001 standards.Conduct regular safety tours, identifying and reporting non-conformities.Investigate and document incidents to establish root causes and recommend preventative measures.Deliver internal HSE training including fire safety, manual handling, and first aid.Lead weekly/quarterly safety meetings and conduct emergency drills, ensuring full documentation.Complete and support departmental risk assessments (including pregnancy and DSE assessments).Ensure firefighting and emergency equipment is regularly inspected and maintained.Oversee induction and mandatory HSE training for all new staff.Chair HSE committee meetings and keep HSE noticeboards up to date.Promote a strong safety culture through ongoing audits, campaigns, and staff engagement.Candidate RequirementsEssential:Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related disciplineNEBOSH IGC/NGC or equivalent qualificationMinimum of 3 years’ experience in a dedicated HSE roleStrong IT and reporting skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsDesirable:Working knowledge of ISO 45001 / OHSAS 18001Experience delivering fire safety and first aid trainingQualification in accident and incident investigationHow to Apply:Please submit your CV and a brief cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.
