World Abu Dhabi and Yas Waterworld and in close proximity to Yas Islands other attractions and experiences including Ferrari World Abu Dhabi CLYMB Abu Dhabi and numerous worldclass F&B outlets on the Island.The Health and Safety Officer assists the Cluster EHS Manager in managing and maintaining OSH and food safety standards across the hotel ensuring compliance with both local and international regulations . This role requires leadership in audits incident investigations and the promotion of continuous improvement through strategic initiatives.What will I be doingEnsure the OSH and FSMS is fully implemented and maintained in accordance with applicable local and international regulations.Provide senior management with regular reports on the status of the OSH and FSMS including performance trends and actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.Lead or participate in audits related to OSH HACCP and other compliance standards. Offer guidance on conformance corrective actions and compliance strategies.Establish and manage audit processes to ensure compliance with food safety occupational health and safety and environmental regulations.Oversee audit results analyze trends and communicate findings to develop and implement corrective actions that ensure continued compliance with regulatory and Hilton corporate requirements.Investigate incidents identify root causes and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Communicate findings to relevant parties.Monitor changes in local regulations related to health and safety and food safety and update internal policies and procedures accordingly.Drive continuous improvement by tracking and reporting on OSH goals providing analysis and feedback to the Hotel OSH Committee to ensure goals are met.Conduct training for team members on OSH and food safety policies ensuring widespread understanding and adherence to procedures.Perform regular OSH and food safety inspections and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain a safe work environment.Ensure that suppliers and contractors comply with OSH and food safety standards through regular audits and consistent communication.Maintain and control all documents related to the OSHMS and FSMS including manuals procedures logs and reports.Adhere to all hotel health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.What are we looking forWorked as Health & Safety Representative for more than 2 years in Abu Dhabi or more than 3 years in other emirates of UAE and 4 years related experience in other regions.Competent in development and implementation of health & Safety management systems and requirements from DCT & ADPHC.Has a qualification which is at least equivalent to Level 3 Health & Safety.Has a qualification of Abu Dhabi Occupational Health & Safety Practitioners Course ADVETI.Has a qualification of ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor.Can hold IOSH Technical/ Associate level membership or an international equivalent.Has an up to date first aid training 8 hours including CPR)Food Safety ManagementProactive approach to identifying risks and implementing solutionsResponsible selfstarter capable of handling multifaceted projects and of working under pressureGood communication and guest relations skills a proactive problem solverTeam player who values teamwork has good team building skills and is able to communicate effectively with all levels of team membersPersonable and pleasant to deal with.
