Head Welder

The Head Welder is responsible for executing the welding tasks as a head of the welding team.Roles and ResponsibilitiesPlans, coordinates and executes the welding tasks at the highest standard to ensure that the welding and grinding are within the approved tolerancesExecutes the welding activities such as: Aluminothermic Welding, Flashbutt Welding, Cutting rail Clipping and un-clipping rail, Use of the rail tensor, Spot rail grinding, Turnout grinding, Manual tamping at the welding joint, other general track maintenance activities, PS, PIC and WS duties.Operates the welding equipment in accordance with the operating manual and specificationsResponsible for the welding equipmentPerforms operator maintenance on the welding equipment in accordance with the supplier’s guidelines and specificationsSupports the operation of the Track Maintenance Supervisor works scheduling and follow-up serviceEnsures that the welding activities are performed according to the environmental guidelines for the prevention of fires and in a safe mannerEnsures a safe working environment for all employees and contractors operating in Etihad Rail#J-18808-Ljbffr
