Job Description As the Director Accounting (Record-to-Report) at Medline India, you will be a senior finance leader responsible for the end-to-end Record-to-Report (R2R) process, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the company's global financial records. **Role Overview:** - Provide functional ownership and people leadership across a large, global accounting & controls organization. - Ensure timely, high-quality close, strong internal controls, compliance with GAAP/IFRS, and audit readiness. - Focus on controllership function and maintain a functional relationship with the corporate/global controllership team. **Key Responsibilities:** - Own and oversee the end-to-end R2R process, including transaction recording, reconciliation, and close activities. - Ensure timely and accurate processing of journal entries, accruals, intercompany accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations. - Establish close calendars, SLAs, quality metrics, and governance for R2R activities. - Ensure accuracy, compliance, and integrity of global financial records. - Oversee accounting operations in compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory requirements. - Design, implement, and maintain strong internal controls, including SOX compliance. - Drive continuous improvement in R2R efficiency, close timelines, and reconciliation quality. - Lead and develop accounting professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. **Qualifications Required:** - CPA / CA strongly preferred, MBA Finance would be an additional asset. - Related certifications in internal audit or control (CIA/CISA) are a plus. - 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with deep R2R ownership. - Strong expertise in GAAP, IFRS, SOX, internal controls, and audit management. - Experience in global shared services or GCC environments. - Hands-on experience in SAP and close transformation. - Exceptional rigor in ensuring accuracy of financial data, compliance, and controls.
