Job Title: Head of Supply Chain & Global Logistics or Global Supply Chain Operations ManagerLocation: Dubai, UAEDepartment: Supply ChainExperience: Minimum 8+ years in international supply chain & logistics managementReports to: Managing Director / CEODirect Reports:Dubai Supply Chain Team - Logistics Executives, Documentation Officers & Order Processing CoordinatorsCountry/Regional Heads of Import Operations (functional oversight)Role OverviewHe/She will lead and oversee the entire end-to-end international supply chain operations across China, India, Dubai, and African import markets.This role will act as the central control tower for sourcing, quality control, logistics coordination, order processing, shipment clearance monitoring, and strategic reorder planning.The Dubai supply team will report directly to this position.Strategic Impact of This Role in Your BusinessFor your type of trading company this person becomes:Your supply chain command centerQC controllerAnd long-term scaling pillarKey ResponsibilitiesStrategic Supply Chain LeadershipOversee complete end-to-end supply chain operations from supplier to final import destination.Act as functional head of logistics and import coordination.Develop supply chain strategy to ensure timely product availability across markets.Coordinate orders, production planning, and quality control procedures with supply offices.Oversee QC teams to ensure compliance with specifications and checklists.Ensure adherence to agreed standards, specifications, packaging, labeling, port instructions and documentation.Dubai Operations ControlSupervise Dubai-based supply team.Ensure all orders are processed accurately and on time.Validate shipping instructions, specifications, and documentation prior to dispatch.Monitor container planning and shipment scheduling.Coordinate with on-ground import teams for:Clearing statusShipment trackingFeedback reportingResolve shipment discrepancies and manage supplier claims.Reorder Planning & Supply StrategyWork with import teams to forecast demand.Plan reorder cycles considering clearing timelines and port delays.Optimize lead times and working capital efficiency.Quality Control OversightSupervise QC processes in China, India, and import destinations.Establish SOPs for inspection and compliance.Ensure product consistency across markets.Lead Dubai supply chain team.Establish KPIs and accountability structure.Improve operational efficiency and reporting transparency.Ideal Candidate Profile8+ years of international supply chain leadership experienceExperience managing cross-border sourcing (China mandatory; India preferred)Strong knowledge of international shipping, Incoterms, documentation, and clearing processesExperience managing QC teamsStrong negotiation and vendor management skillsExperience handling Africa-bound shipments is a major advantageStrong ERP and order management system exposureKPIsOn-Time Shipment Rate: Target: 95%+ shipments dispatched as per planned scheduleOrder Accuracy / Specification & Checklist Errors: Target: 99% documentation & specification accuracyQuality Compliance Rate: Target: < 2% product rejection or claims rateCost Savings / Freight Optimization: > 8% improvement over last yearClaim Resolution Time: Target: Resolve supplier/shipment claims within 14 daysTeam Performance & Reporting: Monthly reporting accuracy and transparency#J-18808-Ljbffr
