About the roleReporting to the General Manager the Head of Property will lead the strategic direction development and profitable growth of the property portfolio. The role requires a commercially driven leader with deep technical knowledge and strong market presence to optimise underwriting performance drive new business acquisition and close high-value opportunities. You will be responsible for enhancing product offerings and building trusted relationships with cedents brokers and reinsurance partners to expand market share and respond to evolving demands.ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning & Portfolio ManagementDevelop and execute strategic plans to achieve growth and profitability for the property portfolio.Stay ahead of market trends competitor activities and regulatory shifts to keep strategy adaptive and forward-looking.Business Development & AcquisitionIdentify target and secure new business opportunities across key markets.Build and maintain strong relationships with cedents brokers and reinsurance partners to drive new revenue streams.Team LeadershipLead mentor and develop the property underwriting team to achieve high performance.Provide technical training and leadership guidance to strengthen team capability.Product Innovation & DevelopmentOversee the development and refinement of property reinsurance products to match market needs.Ensure offerings remain competitive client-focused and compliant with industry standards.Risk Management & ComplianceMonitor portfolio risk and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.Ensure all practices align with internal policies and external regulations.Financial OversightMeet or exceed annual business targets and financial goals.Drive long-term profitability and sustainable portfolio growth.Candidate QualificationsMinimum of 7-10 years of experience in a similar role within the reinsurance industry.Bachelors degree in Business Management or a related field; a Masters degree is a plus.Proven expertise in portfolio management risk management and technical reinsurance knowledge.Key CompetenciesTechnical Skills:Strong knowledge of casualty and financial lines products and market dynamics.Risk management expertise and analytical capabilities.Effective portfolio management and strategic planning skills.Behavioural Skills:Exceptional leadership and team development abilities.Strong negotiation problem-solving and decision-making skills.Excellent communication and time management.Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Languages:Fluent English Arabic an advantage#J-18808-Ljbffr
