Head of Policies and Procedures

The OpportunityWe are seeking a highly experienced and forward-thinking Head of Policies and Procedures to lead the development and governance of a robust, bank-wide policy framework.This is a strategic role reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, responsible for ensuring that all operational policies and procedures are standardized, compliant, and aligned with regulatory expectations and the organisation’s risk appetite.You will play a key role in shaping the operating model, driving efficiency, and enabling a scalable, well-governed organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesPolicy Governance & Framework DesignLead the design, development, and ongoing enhancement of all operational policies and proceduresEstablish and manage the policy lifecycle framework (creation, approval, communication, and archiving)Define and oversee the policy approval matrix, including exceptions and waiversProcess Optimisation & StandardisationDrive standardisation of process mapping across the organisationIdentify inefficiencies and eliminate redundancies to improve operational performanceLead initiatives to modernise and digitise policies and proceduresRegulatory Alignment & Risk ManagementEnsure all policies align with regulatory requirements and corporate governance standardsCollaborate closely with Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Internal Audit teamsConduct gap analysis and ensure timely remediation of policy and control weaknessesImplementation & OversightMonitor policy implementation across all business unitsDevelop and maintain bank-wide procedures in collaboration with stakeholdersEnsure consistency, clarity, and usability of all documentationPolicy Repository & AccessibilityManage and maintain a centralised policy libraryEnsure all policies and procedures are accessible, up-to-date, and properly version-controlledStakeholder ManagementWork closely with senior stakeholders including COO, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit, and Business HeadsEngage with regulators and external auditors as requiredAbout YouExperience & Qualifications:Minimum 10+ years of experience in banking operations, governance, or process management within Saudi ArabiaStrong understanding of SAMA regulations, Banking Control Law, and corporate governance frameworksProven experience in process engineering or business process management (BPM)Professional certifications such as CBPP or CIA are highly desirableFluency in Arabic and English (essential)Strong strategic thinking and governance mindsetAbility to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical, business-friendly processesExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsHigh attention to detail with strong analytical capabilitiesExperience in digital transformation of policies and workflows is a strong advantageWhat Sets You ApartYou go beyond documentation and focus on optimising and simplifying processesYou can balance regulatory compliance with operational efficiency and customer experienceYou bring a modern, digital-first approach to policy and procedure managementWhy Apply?High-impact role shaping the organisation’s operational foundationDirect exposure to executive leadership and decision-makingOpportunity to drive transformation from traditional policies to dynamic, digital frameworksCollaborative and forward-looking working environment#J-18808-Ljbffr
