Head of Optimization

A Head of Optimization is focused on improving production efficiency, they bridge the gap between technical quality control (QC) and operations management, driving data‑driven decisions, analyze current business practices, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to optimize productivity, reduce costs, and increase profitability.Key Responsibilities:Lead and oversee Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives, acting as a role model and ensuring policy implementation for all employees and contractors;Analyze and optimize plant processes from the quarry to the factory gates to improve performance, reduce production, costs, and maintain quality standards;Monitor and enhance equipment performance using data‑driven systems like TIS, LIMS, and Ignition to implement best practices and benchmarking;Manage the technical lifecycle of the plant, including feasibility studies, new installations, and the integration of optimization efforts during shutdown phases;Drive sustainability and innovation by optimizing fuel and power consumption and collaborating with stakeholders on decarbonization and green product development.Education, Experience & Competencies:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred);Minimum 10 years of experience in the optimization function, with at least 5 years in a Managerial position;Proven ability to conduct feasibility studies, benchmarking, and manage complex shutdown preparation phases;Proficient in monitoring performance using data from systems such as TIS, LIMS, and Ignition.#J-18808-Ljbffr
