This is not a management‑track role. This is not an oversight position. This role exists to architect, build, and evolve a production AI platform where reliability, speed, and intelligence compound directly into user trust every single day. You will work closely with the Founder and CPO on system design, technical direction, and long‑term platform architecture. This role carries real ownership. The systems you build will directly determine how well WYLE executes, scales, and delivers on its promise to users. There is no downstream team to inherit your decisions, no architecture committee to defer to, and no “we’ll fix it in v2.” If the platform is wrong, you are the person who makes it right.You Will OwnThe full technical architecture end‑to‑end: AI pipelines, data layer, real‑time infrastructure, APIs, and cloudMulti‑model AI orchestration across providers: routing, fallback, tool use, and structured output at scaleAgentic and multi‑agent systems: intent classification, task decomposition, planning, and execution at production reliabilityRetrieval and memory systems: context representation, knowledge retrieval, and hybrid search at scaleVoice AI: real‑time audio processing pipelines with sub‑200ms response latencyPlatform integrations: email, calendar, messaging, and third‑party servicesCloud infrastructure: scalable, cost‑efficient, production‑grade from day oneEngineering standards, sprint execution, and the technical hiring roadmapApplied R&D that ships directly into production, gets measured, and improves over timeYou Have10+ years of hands‑on software engineering, with complex systems shipped to real usersMinimum 3 years in a technical leadership role where you stayed deeply in the codeDeep production experience with large language model APIs: real reliability requirements, not demos or prototypesHands‑on experience building retrieval and memory systems at scale, including graph‑based and sparse retrieval approachesExperience deploying small language models and quantized inference in production environmentsReal‑time systems experience: streaming data, event pipelines, and push infrastructureHands‑on experience with agentic AI system design and multi‑agent coordination in productionCloud infrastructure ownership at scale: containerisation, orchestration, CI/CD, and monitoringComfort operating in ambiguity, early‑stage environments, and high ownership culturesCurrently operating as a Head of Engineering, Principal Engineer, Staff Engineer, or equivalentCompensationIn this phase:This role is equity‑first until product launch, approximately 3 months awaySalary: AED 30,000 to 40,000 per month, starting post launchUAE Residence Visa and health insurance from day oneThis role is designed for builders who want ownership over outcomes, not just compensation certainty.Why Join UsBecause you don’t just want to build models, you want to build the intelligence engine of a new kind of everyday platform in the region.You’ll define the architecture of a platform that handles real decisions for real users, daily.You’ll work directly with the Founder and CPO with no layers in between.You’ll own applied engineering that ships, gets measured, improves, and compounds over time.You’ll have the space to set standards, build the team, and scale your own playbook.You’ll hold meaningful equity in a company built to expand beyond one city, one product, and one vertical.You’ll be the first and most important technical hire.
