Head of corporate finance

TheDirector – Corporate Financeis responsible for leading the organization’s corporate finance strategy, financial planning, capital structuring, and investment analysis. This role plays a key part in supporting executive leadership with financial insights, managing financial risks, and driving strategic financial initiatives that enhance business growth and shareholder value.The position requires strong expertise in financial modeling, mergers & acquisitions, capital raising, budgeting, and corporate financial strategy within a dynamic corporate environment in Qatar or the GCC region.Key ResponsibilitiesCorporate Finance StrategyDevelop and implement corporate finance strategies aligned with the organization’s long-term business objectives.Provide strategic financial advice to the executive leadership team on investments, funding structures, and financial growth opportunities.Evaluate capital structure and optimize debt and equity financing strategies.Lead long-term financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.Build and maintain complex financial models for business planning and investment decisions.Provide financial insights, performance analysis, and strategic recommendations to senior management.Investment & M&A ActivitiesLead financial due diligence, valuation, and analysis for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.Assess investment opportunities and prepare business cases for executive decision-making.Oversee post-investment performance monitoring and integration activities.Capital ManagementManage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors.Support capital raising activities including debt financing, refinancing, and equity transactions.Optimize liquidity management and working capital strategies.Identify financial risks related to investments, financing structures, and market conditions.Develop risk mitigation strategies and ensure compliance with financial regulations and corporate governance standards.Stakeholder & Leadership ManagementCollaborate with internal departments including strategy, legal, and operations.Prepare and present financial reports and investment proposals to executive management and the board.Lead and mentor finance team members to enhance financial capabilities and performance.RequirementsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.Professional certifications such asCFA, CPA, ACCA, or CAare highly desirable.12–15+ years of experiencein corporate finance, investment banking, financial advisory, or strategic finance.Experience in large corporations, consulting firms, private equity, or financial institutions.GCC or Middle East experience preferred.Proven experience infinancial modeling, financial due diligence, capital raising, investment evaluation, and M&A transactions.Key SkillsCorporate finance strategy and capital structuringAdvanced financial modeling and valuationMergers & acquisitions (M&A) and investment analysisBudgeting, forecasting, and financial planningRisk management and regulatory complianceStakeholder and executive-level communicationStrong leadership and team management abilities
