Role : Head of Card Center OperationsLocation : Abu DhabiRole Purpose:The Head of Card Center is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of card operations within a financial institution. This includes developing strategies to enhance card services, overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing risks, and improving customer experience. The role also involves leading a team, monitoring financial performance, and integrating technology to streamline processes.Key Accountabilities of the roleStrategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategies to enhance card services and align them with the organization’s goals.Operational Management: Oversee daily card operations, including issuance, transaction processing, and customer service.Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all card operations comply with regulatory requirements and manage associated risks.Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of professionals to achieve high performance.Customer Experience: Improve the customer experience by enhancing card services and resolving issues efficiently.Financial Performance: Monitor and improve the financial performance of the card center, focusing on cost management and revenue generation.Technology Integration: Implement and manage technology solutions to streamline operations and improve efficiency.Fraud Prevention: Develop and enforce measures to prevent fraud and ensure the security of card transactions.Vendor Management: Manage relationships with card service providers and vendors to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present reports on card center performance, identifying areas for improvement.Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:Education: A bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field is usually required. An MBA or other advanced degree can be advantageous.Experience: Extensive experience in card operations, banking, or financial services is essential.
