Role SummaryThe Group Legal Director will lead and oversee all legal, regulatory, and governance matters across the Group's international operations. This role will act as a strategic business partner to the Board, CEO, and executive leadership, providing expert legal guidance on complex EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) projects, international contracts, risk management, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the Group's legal function across all regions and subsidiaries, ensuring alignment with business strategyProvide strategic legal advice to the Board and senior leadership on high-value international EPC projects, joint ventures, PPPs, and complex commercial transactionsOversee drafting, review, and negotiation of major EPC contracts, subcontracts, consortium agreements, MOUs, and framework agreementsManage legal risk across the project lifecycle, including bid stage, execution, claims, variations, disputes, and close‑outLead and manage litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution (including international arbitration) in coordination with external counselsEstablish and maintain strong relationships with external law firms, advisors, and regulatory bodies globallyEnsure compliance with applicable international, regional, and local laws including corporate, construction, labor, and regulatory frameworksOversee corporate governance, board matters, and group‑level legal policies and proceduresSupport mergers & acquisitions, investments, divestments, and restructuring activitiesLead, mentor, and develop the Group legal team, ensuring high standards of legal service deliveryDrive legal cost optimization while maintaining quality and risk mitigationRepresent the Group in high‑level negotiations, meetings, and stakeholder engagementsKey RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Law (Master's Degree preferred)Minimum 1820 years of post‑qualification legal experienceExtensive international EPC experience is mandatoryProven experience supporting large‑scale infrastructure, construction, or engineering projects across multiple jurisdictionsStrong background in contract law, construction law, dispute resolution, and regulatory complianceDemonstrated experience working in multinational or multi‑country environmentsInternational work experience is mandatoryExcellent English communication skills (spoken and written); additional languages are an advantageStrong leadership capability with experience managing senior legal professionalsAbility to operate at Board and executive level with sound commercial judgmentKey CompetenciesEPC Contracts & Claims ManagementInternational Arbitration & Dispute ResolutionStrategic Legal AdvisoryCorporate Governance & ComplianceRisk ManagementNegotiation & Stakeholder ManagementLeadership & Team DevelopmentCommercial Acumen#J-18808-Ljbffr
