This opportunity is part of AECOM’s Fursa Program and open exclusively to UAE Nationals holding a valid family book.AECOM is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Scientist to support our Quantity Surveying and Cost Management teams in the Dubai, UAE office. The candidate will play a pivotal role in leveraging digital tools and technologies to enhance project efficiency, accuracy, and data-driven decision‑making. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for digital innovation in the construction sector and wants to be a part of the success of the creation and implementation of planned and future digital initiatives.As part of AECOM’s commitment to Emiratisation and in accordance with UAE labour law, only UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered for this role.Key ResponsibilitiesDigital Support for quantity surveying and cost management teams:Collaborate with quantity surveyors to ensure seamless integration of digital workflows into traditional practices.Enhance and support cost planning, cost control, and value engineering processes using digital platforms.Maintain and update databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for project teams.Generate information rich reports and dashboards using data visualization tools.Data Management & Analysis:Collect, organize, and analyze project data to provide actionable insights for cost management.Develop and maintain digital templates, workflows, and automation scripts to improve efficiency.Ensure data integrity and compliance with company standards and protocols.Technology Implementation:Provide training and technical support to team members on digital tools and processes.Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance project delivery.Support cross-functional teams in adopting digital practices and fostering a culture of innovation.QualificationsUAE Nationals with a family book.A degree or diploma in a relevant field such as Quantity Surveying, Digital Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics and the like.An understanding of common construction industry digital tools like BIM authoring and management software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, ACC, Solibri, Aconex), CostX, or similar platforms.Advanced skills in Python, SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI), and other relevant software.Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Experience with programming and developing automation tools with Dynamo, Python, VBA or similar scripting languages.The ideal candidate would have experience working in teams to deliver complex projects with multiple stakeholders.Effective communicate, including speaking to groups and providing training sessions from time to time would be required.Well established organization and time management skills.Confident to engage and positively challenge with other team members across disciplines and of different seniorities.Be inclusive and supportive and contribute to a positive and productive team environment.Additional InformationAbout AECOMAECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
