About the RoleGrade Level (for internal use): 14The Role: Global Head of Chemicals Consulting CERA ConsultingThe location: Dubai UAE; London UK; Houston Texas; SingaporeThe Team: The Chemicals Consulting Practice provides advisory services to the Chemicals industry globally. This team of diverse professionals brings together broad industry experience working collaboratively with each other to provide our clients with expert insight analysis and advice in the chemicals segment collaborating with other CERA consulting practices to cover the whole energy supply chain and beyond.The current chemicals consulting team is very well established in all key global markets and as the industry evolves the practice needs to evolve with new offerings. The global practice leader will lead the growth of the practice in all key markets.The Impact: This role leads a team of around 60 colleagues with an annual revenue of between $12 million to $15 million. It is responsible for developing new business, driving consulting sales revenue, delivery, coaching team members and taking executive oversight roles in high profile complex projects.Whats in it for you: S&P Energy clients include virtually every major chemical oil and biofuels industry participant across the whole supply chain and supporting industries. This role will provide an opportunity to work directly with different clients, involve travel and learning opportunities within the constantly evolving chemicals space. The chemicals consulting practice is part of the global CERA Consulting team: circa 350 colleagues and 7 different practices (OMD Upstream Chemicals Agri Gas Power Energy Transition).ResponsibilitiesProvide overall business direction development and leadership for the practiceGrow revenue via introduction and development of new offerings and sub-practicesLead business development and revenue generation globally in partnership with other senior practice members regional leads the sales and subscription services teamsLead global talent recruitment development and retentionManage client relationships and communications. Clients include corporates, investors, utilities, project developers and governmentsCoordinate with other CERA practice leaders in related sectors (e.g. Oil Markets ET Gas Power and Renewables Midstream and others) around the world to ensure seamless delivery of S&P Global capabilitiesOversee high profile complex consulting studies to ensure the highest standards of deliverables, client satisfaction and project profitabilityCoordinate with various elements of the S&P Global research organization to ensure continued thought leadership on key issues facing the industry.What Were Looking For15 years chemical industry experience is essential traditionally acquired by working for industry consulting or technology firmsSignificant experience in Chemicals and in at least two key regional Chemical markets (North America, Europe, Middle East or Asia)Extensive professional network in the chemical and Energy industryTrack‑record building high‑performing teams via coaching and mentoringTeam leader and business development/sales experience is essential with a commercial track record of business development and delivery of large complex projects to either internal or external stakeholdersChemical operating or business experience is a significant plusA Bachelor’s degree is required. A graduate degree in engineering and/or business is preferred or an equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.Highly effective verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of business to enable effective/productive communications with key people including executive level clientsDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environmentAbility to participate in lead and manage large interdisciplinary teamsMust be highly organized and creative with accomplished time and project management skillsPlease NoteInternal applications for Dubai location: The position in Dubai is open exclusively to current internal S&P Global employees who are already residing in the United Arab Emirates. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location as well as experience level, skill set, training licenses and certifications.In addition to base compensation this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.Thi
