Geoscientist

RESPONSIBILITIESAssist in quality-checking and validating data (e.g., seismic, petrophysics, formation tops, core data)Support the development and updating of integrated 3D geological modelsHelp perform volumetric computations and contribute to subsurface uncertainty analysis based on the 3D static model and properties.Participate in reservoir characterization studies, including wireline log acquisition and core analysis.Aid in analyzing and interpreting geological and geophysical data, including well logs, seismic surveys, and production data.Assist in well planning, drilling operations, and reservoir monitoring activities.Help manage the sample catalogue, including cuttings, core, and thin sections.Utilise GIS packages for database management, mapping and analysing dataAttend meetings, including internal project meetings and meetings with external contractors and service providers, as required.Liaise with operations teams during drilling and other field activities.Visit the rig site, field and laboratory locations, as required.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation: Bachelors degree in geology, geosciences, or a related field.Experience: Internship experience or up to 2 years in a geoscience-related role in the oil and gas industry is advantageous but not mandatory.Familiarity with geomodelling software applicationsBasic understanding of seismic interpretation, reservoir characterization, and structural modelling.Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing, confidently presenting technical information clearly.DESIRABLE SKILLSStrong IT, numerical, and computational skills to handle and analyze data sets.Experience with GIS software applications such as ArcGIS, QGIS, etc., is a plus.Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and collaborate with professionals from diverse backgrounds.#J-18808-Ljbffr
