General Accountant - Travel Industry

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented General Accountant to join a well-established company in Al Ain. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support management in maintaining a strong financial control environment.Key ResponsibilitiesHandle general accounting tasks including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.Prepare financial statements, management reports, and budget analyses.Monitor company expenses and assist in preparing VAT returns and other statutory reports.Verify and reconcile supplier invoices, particularly related to travel bookings and services.Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate accounting records.Support annual audits by providing required schedules and documentation.Maintain proper filing and record keeping of all financial transactions.RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably within the travel or service industry.Strong understanding of accounting principles and UAE VAT regulations.Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar).Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.Strong communication and organizational skills.Familiarity with travel booking systems and supplier reconciliation processes.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.Willing to be based in Al Ain.To view other vacancies we have, please check our website: www.blackpearlconsult.com and follow us on our social media accounts - LinkedIn / Facebook / Twitter / Instagram.Disclaimer: Black Pearl will never ask for money or any form to charge our candidates just to process or consider their application for any of our available vacancies.
