General Accountant

<div><p>We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive<b>General Accountant</b>to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring full compliance with<b>UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations</b>, and supporting accounting operations across multiple business units within the Group. This role requires a high level of precision, accountability, and strong collaboration with procurement, operations, and treasury departments to ensure seamless month-end closing and transparent financial reporting.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Record daily financial transactions, including purchases, sales, and journal entries in compliance with IFRS and company accounting policies.</li><li>Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, intercompany balances, and petty cash to ensure accurate financial records.</li><li>Process supplier invoices using a 3-way match (PO–GRN–Invoice) and ensure vendor payments are made within approved timelines.</li><li>Prepare customer invoices, monitor payments, follow up on outstanding dues, and reconcile customer accounts on a monthly basis.</li><li>Coordinate with warehouse and production teams for stock verification, GRN validation, and accurate inventory valuation.</li><li>Support VAT compliance by verifying supplier TRNs, preparing VAT returns, and assisting with Corporate Tax documentation.</li><li>Maintain the fixed asset register, record asset additions/disposals, and compute monthly depreciation as per accounting standards.</li><li>Support month-end and year-end closing activities including trial balance review, adjustments, and preparation of management reports.</li><li>Prepare audit schedules, documentation, and liaise with internal and external auditors for timely completion of audits.</li><li>Collaborate with operations, procurement, and project teams to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in financial processes.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications&Experience</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.</li><li>Professional qualification (ACCA, CMA, or equivalent) preferred.</li><li>Minimum<b>2 years of relevant experience</b>in general accounting or financial reporting.</li><li>Strong knowledge of<b>IFRS, UAE VAT, and Corporate Tax</b>regulations.</li><li>Proficiency in ERP( Microsoft Dynamics D365) /accounting software and MS Excel.</li><li>Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
