General Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records in compliance with applicable accounting standards and UAE regulations. The role requires strong knowledge of general accounting, cost accounting, IFRS, and local tax requirements, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments and support both internal and external audit processes.ResponsibilitiesMaintain the general ledger and ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactionsRecord vendor invoices in the accounting system and manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processesIssue customer invoices in accordance with contract terms and ensure proper revenue recognitionPerform regular reconciliation of bank statements and statements of accountsProcess employee expense claims and ensure compliance with company policiesManage inventory accounting, including stock movements and valuationAccount for tangible and intangible fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposalsCalculate cost of goods sold and perform cost accounting and cost analysisEnsure timely recognition of expenses, including accruals, prepaid expenses, provisions, and cost allocationsSupport tax accounting processes, including UAE VAT and Corporate Income Tax (CIT) complianceEnsure adherence to IFRS principles and company accounting policiesFacilitate internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit queriesPerform other ad-hoc accounting and finance-related tasks as required by ManagementQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experienceStrong knowledge of general accounting, bookkeeping processes, and accounting principlesGood understanding of cost accounting, inventory, fixed assets, and tax accountingKnowledge of IFRS standardsWorking knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Income Tax regulationsExperience & SystemsExperience with accounting systems such as Odoo and SAP Business One is an advantageFluency in both Russian and English (written and spoken).Candidate TraitsHighly organised and detail-orientedQuick learner with the ability to adapt to new systems and processesResult-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountabilityAbility to meet deadlines and manage multiple prioritiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsTeam player with good communication and interpersonal skills#J-18808-Ljbffr
