Furnace Operation Lead Technician

<div><p>The main responsibility of the Furnace Technician is to provide process support to Operations via process follow-up, optimization and troubleshooting of the Mix Feed Cracker (MFC) furnaces, with the objective to maximize availability and valorization and to guarantee safe operation at all time.</p><h3>Duties and Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>1- Ensures daily reporting of furnace operations and advises operations department to optimize furnace conditions within the furnace operating window and within the decoke plan.</li><li>2- Together with the Furnace Engineer he drives the daily optimizations in the performance of the furnaces through close monitoring the process parameters and through technical troubleshooting.</li><li>3- Keeps track of furnace performance in a database and reports the KPI’s, analysis’s the performance data and assists the Furnace Engineers in setting-up proposals for improvements. Tracks bad actors in furnace operations and advises the operations and maintenance departments on proposals to eliminate these bad actors.</li><li>4- Provides guidance to the operations department around safe operation of the furnaces (furnace process safety protections systems) and for environmental compliance.</li><li>5- Assists in root cause analysis of incidents and accidents.</li><li>6- Organizes the performance test on furnaces in collaboration with the Furnace Engineer and retrieves and reports the required test data.</li><li>7- Assists operations and maintenance departments on all major maintenance furnace stops, decommissioning and commissioning phases, PSSR requirements and taking into service new furnace projects. This in order to make sure HSE and availability targets are met. Makes sure lessons learned are implemented as part of the continuous improvement process.</li><li>8- Trains the operations and maintenance departments in all operational aspects of the furnaces. 9- Advises the central training departments in setting up training modules.</li><li>10- Advises, optimizes and sets up operational furnace procedures according to best practices.</li></ul><h3>Expected Results:</h3><ul><li>Efficient day to day furnace monitoring.</li><li>Technical/ Vocational Diploma or, Associate Degree in the related field.</li><li>12+ years of experience in similar technical/ industrial field of work.</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
