Fuel Farm Pump Station Technician

Position Overview The Pump Station Technician operates and maintains the pumps within the pump house that move fuel from storage tanks to the hydrant network. They monitor pressure, flow rates, pump performance, and ensure standby pumps are ready to operate when needed, all while adhering to GACA safety standards. Key Responsibilities Operating and maintaining fuel pumps in the pump house Moving fuel from storage tanks to the hydrant network Monitoring pressure and flow rates continuously Assessing pump performance and efficiency Ensuring standby pumps are ready for operation Performing routine maintenance on pumps and motors in accordance with GACA standards Troubleshooting pump failures and operational issues Conducting pump performance tests and calibrations Maintaining pump lubrication and mechanical components Recording operational data and maintenance activities for regulatory compliance Following GACA safety procedures during all operations Qualifications & Requirements Technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Maintenance Minimum 3-5 years of experience with industrial pumps Knowledge of centrifugal pumps and motor operations Understanding of pressure management and flow control Ability to read P&ID drawings and technical manuals Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills Basic electrical knowledge for motor operations Understanding of GACA safety requirements Commitment to safety and operational procedures
