Madre Integrated Engineering | Full timeThe Scaffolding Foreman is responsible for the end-to-end management of scaffolding operations, from initial design and risk assessment to final inspection and dismantling. This role ensures that all structures are erected safely, meet engineering specifications, and comply with international safety standards (such as OSHA or BS EN). You will lead a team of scaffolders, manage materials, and serve as the Competent Person for formal safety inspections.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Management: Direct and supervise a crew of scaffolders, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and according to the project plan.Toolbox Talks: Lead daily safety briefings and "Toolbox Talks" to communicate hazards and site-specific requirements.Work Scheduling: Coordinate with Project Managers to align scaffolding activities with other site trades to minimize downtime.2. Technical Operations & InspectionErection & Dismantling: Oversee the safe assembly and disassembly of various scaffold types (e.g., tube and fitting, system, suspended, or mobile towers).Formal Inspections: Perform mandatory inspections of scaffolds before first use, every 7 days thereafter, and following any adverse weather or structural alterations.Tagging System: Maintain a rigorous "Stagecraft" or equivalent tagging system to clearly identify structures that are safe or unsafe for use.Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings and RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) to ensure structural compliance.Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough on-site risk assessments and ensure all "Work at Height" permits are strictly followed.PPE Compliance: Ensure all team members are utilizing appropriate fall protection (harnesses, lanyards) and safety gear.Incident Reporting: Immediately report and investigate any near-misses or accidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.4. Logistics & Resource ManagementInventory Control: Track scaffolding inventory, ensuring materials are in good condition and reporting any damaged components (e.g., bent poles, split boards) for immediate disposal.Load Calculations: Verify that the scaffold is capable of supporting the intended loads (men, tools, and materials).Qualifications & RequirementsExperience: Minimum of 5–8 years in scaffolding, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or inspector role.Certifications: Valid Scaffolding Supervisor/Inspector certification (e.g., CISRS, CITB, or OSHA Competent Person training).Advanced Scaffolder Card.Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of scaffolding components, load-bearing capacities, and structural stability.Soft Skills: Strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to make high-pressure safety decisions.Physical Fitness: Ability to work at heights and in various weather.Performance Indicators (KPIs)Zero Accidents: Maintaining a 100% safety record for all scaffolding structures and personnel.Inspection Compliance: 100% of scaffolds inspected and tagged on schedule.Resource Efficiency: Minimal material loss and optimal team productivity against project timelines.#J-18808-Ljbffr
