As a key member of our organization, you will lead and oversee carpentry operations for complex bridge construction projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship, safety compliance, and timely project completion.Supervise and coordinate carpentry teams on bridge construction sitesInterpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specificationsPlan and organize daily work schedules for carpentry crewsEnsure adherence to safety protocols and quality standardsOperate and maintain construction equipment as neededCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trade professionalsMonitor and report on project progress, identifying and resolving issues promptlyManage inventory and order materials as requiredTrain and mentor junior carpenters, promoting skill developmentConduct regular safety meetings and inspectionsEnsure compliance with local construction regulations and building codesQualificationsMinimum 5-7 years of experience in carpentry, with at least 3 years specifically in bridge constructionProven supervisory experience in leading carpentry teamsExpert knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materialsProficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawingsStrong understanding of bridge construction methods and structural engineering principlesExcellent project management and organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to operate construction equipment safelyOutstanding communication and leadership abilitiesStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsHigh school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in carpentry preferredOSHA certification requiredFamiliarity with construction industry regulations and standardsAbility to work in challenging outdoor environments and at heightsWillingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when necessary#J-18808-Ljbffr
