This role ensures all fire protection systems operate safely and reliably in compliance with NFPA standards, applicable military installation requirements, and local codes. The Lead serves as the on-site technical authority and provides supervision and direction to assigned personnel.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSLead and supervise fire suppression system work, including sprinkler systems, standpipes, fire pumps, valves, and specialty suppression systemsEnsure compliance with NFPA standards, base-specific requirements, and company safety policiesInterpret and execute work based on blueprints, specifications, and technical drawingsPerform system testing, inspections, troubleshooting, and corrective maintenanceCoordinate with base officials, inspectors, project managers, and other trades to ensure mission-critical systems remain operationalProvide leadership, training, and technical guidance to fire suppression technicians and apprenticesMaintain accurate documentation, including inspection reports, maintenance logs, and compliance recordsEnforce OSHA, base safety standards, and company safety proceduresAssist with material planning, scheduling, and task prioritization to meet operational requirementsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCEMinimum of three (3) years of experience specializing in fire suppression systemsDemonstrated knowledge of NFPA codes and fire suppression system installation and maintenance practicesProven ability to lead and supervise field crewsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentsADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTSMust possess a valid U. S. Driver's LicensePossess a valid U. S.
