Job Description Role Overview:
You will be responsible for strategic planning and investment in asset-intensive industries, focusing on lifecycle cost modeling, asset optimization analysis, investment and divestment support, and business case validation. Additionally, you will be involved in commercial execution and governance, including asset playbook development, deal structuring, and post-deal governance. Your role will also require preparing management reports, supporting financial consolidation, and contributing to continuous improvement in reporting tools and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Investment
- Lifecycle Cost Modelling: Build and maintain asset cost models to inform investment decisions and optimize total cost of ownership.
- Asset Optimisation Analysis: Assess asset performance metrics to identify value improvement opportunities.
- Investment & Divestment Support: Provide financial insight on asset transactions.
- Business Case Validation: Challenge assumptions and ensure alignment with strategy.
- Commercial Execution & Governance
- Asset Right Playbook Development: Define financial guidelines for asset procurement.
- Deal Structuring & Commercial Alignment: Support commercial negotiations for value-optimized outcomes.
- Post-Deal Governance: Ensure investment and lease terms are accurately reflected.
- Reporting & Ad-hoc Analysis
- Prepare management reports summarizing CAPEX, asset utilization, and investment pipeline.
- Support financial consolidation and presentation for reviews and ad-hoc analysis.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting tools and investment governance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 710 years experience in corporate finance, investment analysis, FP&A, or business partnering roles within asset-intensive industries.
- Strong financial modeling skills in Excel and Power BI.
- Understanding of investment appraisal techniques and capital structuring principles.
- Experience with IFRS accounting for assets and leases preferred.
- Strong communication skills to translate financial insights into clear business recommendations. Role Overview:
