Job Description
Job Description As the HQ Controller, your role will involve driving results in the accounting functions supporting a cluster of ledgers and countries for the segment EMEA. Reporting through Controllership under the CATO organization, you will serve as an advisor to the sub region CFOs and business/operations leaders to ensure accounting and reporting integrity, effective controls, and compliance with US GAAP and Company policy.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing, reviewing, and signing off on monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including key reserves, account reconciliations, balance sheet, and financial metric trend reviews.
- Implementing and maintaining strong controls for key projects such as entity migrations and ERP implementations, driving activities to the Companys Center of Excellence ("COEs") for standardization.
- Monitoring and supporting internal control functions to ensure adequacy, effectiveness, and alignment with Company and locally managed policies.
- Participating in cross-functional teams to support financial accounting, reporting, and control activities for complex transactions within the region.
- Collaborating with FP&A on plans and forecasts, providing recommendations and direction to the management team.
- Identifying business/financial opportunities, implementing corrective actions, and providing financial leadership and training to improve team skills.
- Identifying best business practices and facilitating their propagation throughout the organization.
- Providing support for IT financial and business systems development and enhancement.
- Supporting all accounting performed at global business centers for centralized functions.
The qualifications required for this role are:
- Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting.
- 15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
- Demonstrated ability to add value to business performance.
- Advanced computer skills, including OneStream, Microsoft Office products, and financial reporting software.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Desired qualifications include:
- Public accounting and industrial experience.
- CPA certification.
- Experience in managing a team with remote members.
