This includes financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and ensuring accurate accounting and controls.The role works closely with leadership and manages the relationship with the outsourced finance operations team.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning, Budgeting and ForecastingBuild and maintain the company’s financial modelLead annual budgeting and quarterly forecast updatesTrack budget vs actuals and explain key variancesSupport leadership with financial analysis for strategic decisionsProvide financial input for new projects, partnerships, and investmentsManagement ReportingPrepare monthly management reportingProduce clear financial dashboards for leadershipTrack key financial metrics (revenue, margin, cash, burn, runway)Prepare financial material for board meetingsAccounting and Financial CloseOversee the outsourced accounting teamEnsure accurate bookkeeping and general ledger managementManage monthly and year-end financial closingEnsure invoices, expenses, and payments are properly recordedEnsure financial records are audit-readyBudget Control and Spend OversightReview purchase requisitions and approval memosMonitor department budgets and spendingEnsure spending follows approved budgetsFlag financial risks or overruns earlyTreasury and Cash ManagementMonitor company cash position and runwayManage payments and collectionsForecast cash needs and liquidityM&A and Strategic TransactionsSupport financial analysis for acquisitions or partnershipsPrepare financial data and documentation required for transactionsCompliance and ControlsEnsure tax filings and statutory reporting are completedMaintain basic financial controls and documentationSupport external audits when requiredRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics6–10 years of experience in finance, accounting, or FP&AStrong understanding of accounting and financial statementsExperience building budgets and financial forecastsExperience preparing management reportsComfortable working with outsourced accounting teamsStrong attention to detail and ability to work independentlyPreferredExperience in a startup or fast-growing companyExposure to M&A or fundraising processesCPA, ACCA or CFA qualificationA once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to:Join a well-funded early-stage tech startup at the intersection of some of the most exciting, disruptive and innovative technologies in the world - geospatial AI, remote sensing, drone robotics, ecology & agricultural science.Relocate to Abu Dhabi – one of the safest, most livable, expat-friendly cities in the world - with an “all inclusive” relocation package for you and your family, that includes work & residence visa sponsorship, business class flights, orientation tour, school and house search, and luxury hotel stay until you find your new home.Make a real and direct impact to solving the most critical challenges of our time – climate change and ecosystem loss.Build partnerships that matter!What is the hiring process like?We believe in making your hiring and onboarding seamless and transparent.
