Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Field Instrumentation Engineer to support field execution and coordinate between design procurement and construction teams for Oil & Gas projects. The role focuses on ensuring instrumentation and control systems are installed tested and commissioned in line with design requirements project standards and construction schedules. This position plays a critical role in resolving technical issues on‑site and driving seamless integration between engineering deliverables and field execution.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESServe as the site focal point for all field instrumentation and control systems installation and integration activities.Interpret and implement Instrumentation IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings data sheets hook‑up diagrams loop diagrams cable schedules and wiring diagrams.Support and coordinate with construction teams on installation of:Field instruments (pressure temperature flow level etc.)Control valves actuatorsInstrument junction boxes and marshaling panelsCable laying glanding and terminationReview and coordinate resolution of technical queries (TQs) and RFIs related to instrumentation scope.Liaise with design offices vendors and construction subcontractors for timely resolution of technical issues and interface challenges.Verify and supervise instrument calibration loop checking and functional testing at the site.Support pre‑commissioning and commissioning teams by ensuring instrument systems are ready for energization and integration into control systems (e.g. DCS/PLC/ESD/F&G).Ensure all instrumentation works comply with engineering standards project specifications HSE practices and QA/QC requirements.Maintain and update as‑built documentation red‑line markups and commissioning records.Participate in inspections punch listing and handover processes.KEY QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation Electronics Electrical or Control Engineering.8-12 years of relevant experience in field instrumentation in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.Strong knowledge of Field instrumentation and control systems Hazardous area classification (ATEX IECEx)Strong knowledge of International codes and standards (ISA IEC API NEC/NEMA)Experience with instrumentation design packages wiring diagrams loop drawings.Familiar with tools such as SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI/INtools) AutoCAD and MS Office.Experience coordinating with DCS/PLC vendors (e.g. Emerson ABB Siemens Honeywell).Strong communication and problem‑solving skills; ability to manage multiple stakeholders.Experience in onshore terminals offshore platforms or LNG facilities. (Preferred)Previous involvement in EPC or brownfield projects. (Preferred)Familiarity with ICSS (Integrated Control and Safety Systems) and safety instrumentation (SIS ESD F&G).
