Feeder / Cleaner | Groomy Pet

OverviewWe are a vet practice that combines day care, grooming and retail unit. We are looking for an experienced dog feeder/handler with enthusiasm for small animals to join our established practice in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will oversee the daycare/boarding unit and provide instruction to animals, condition them, determine their receptiveness to training and taking care of them while at the facility.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintaining the cleanness of all different areas in the facility under the guidance of the handlers, nurses and veterinarians.Cleaning at least three times a day the boarding area, including the rooms, habitats or sleeping areas, and familiarizing animals with human voices and contact. This applies for the night shift and day shift.Monitoring animals’ wellbeing while being in the facility (daycare and boarding).Feeding and medicating animals (in case of oral medication and under the guidelines of the treating veterinarian).Using positive reinforcement and other techniques to elicit desired animal behavior.Providing updates to other parties about the progress and condition of the animals.Providing general care to animals, such as grooming (in case they may get dirty within the boarding).Providing support to the rest of the team in the rest of the areas when needed. Our comprehensive services include haircuts, deshedding, paw pad shaves, sanitary trims, eye and ear cleaning, and precise nail trimming.Committed to providing a calm and stress-free atmosphere, Groomy ensures pets have a positive grooming experience.Groomy is dedicated to creating a nurturing experience that helps pets look and feel their best!Job requirementsRequired QualificationsThis role would suit a certified trainer-handler with at least two years of experience who is interested in all areas of training and day care handling but also, willing to participate from the physiotherapy/alternative treatments area (as an assistant), desiring to grow professionally.Key SkillsStrong collaboration and interpersonal abilitiesExcellent communication and client interaction.Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities to achieve operational goals.Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.Additional RequirementsProficiency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.Experience in the UAE veterinary market, handling diverse clients, and collaborating with local veterinary organizations is preferred.#J-18808-Ljbffr
