Facilities Engineer (Electrical)

<div><h3>Job Purpose</h3><p>Operate, maintain and repair the electrical networks and equipment on site. Manage shift works, sub-contractors.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Organize and prepare preventive maintenance shutdown works for MV and LV equipment and systems.</li><li>Organize and prepare MV/LV system repair/ modification shutdown works.</li><li>Prepare requisitions for materials required for maintenance and repair.</li><li>Fault finding and repair on MV electrical/ control systems within the facility including MV Switchgear, transformer, MDB, emergency lightings, VFD’s, energy monitoring systems, BMS systems, LV infrastructure.</li><li>Maintain 100% uptime of MV electrical services.</li><li>Carry out routine testing to determine condition of MV and LV electrical systems and recommend/ implement corrective actions.</li><li>Design and install small LV electrical projects i.e., radial supply, ring supply.</li><li>Create Technical and Incident reports,SOP and RA for HV system</li><li>Create PPM Job planner and Issue work from MAXIMO system and input details of maintenance and repair into the MAXIMO systems.</li><li>Organize subordinators attendance and control sub-contractors working on electrical systems when on site.</li><li>Operate within a safe system of work for electrical systems, prepare switching plans, PTW, isolation certificates, limitation of access, maintain central record of switching operations, sub log books, LOTO etc.</li><li>Use of electrical test equipment including Insulation Resistance, Ductor set, Power quality Analyzer test, secondary injection, PD detection, Thermographic, HiPot Cable Testing, Hot Phasing, cable detection.</li><li>Preparation of periodic/ installation/ minor electrical test certificates.</li><li>Work hours shift system days/ nights.</li><li>Ensure all works are carried int the line with Company Procedures and Policies, Health and Safety, Control of Hazardous materials, in line with COSHH regulations and PPE.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications, Experience, Skills</h3><ul><li>Must have at least 5 years work experience with operation and maintenance HV, MV and LV switchgear.</li><li>Must hold recognized Degree/ Diploma applicable for electrical engineering.</li><li>Good communication skills.</li><li>Customer care oriented.</li><li>Positive attitude.</li><li>Good appearance.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure.</li><li>Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.</li><li>Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time.</li><li>Able to work in a small team, carry out and supervise works.</li><li>Ability to read, write and speak in clear English.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.</li><li>Completed power electrical based apprenticeship, electrical test and inspection qualification.</li><li>Valid Driver’s License.</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
