Job Description

Masdar is seeking an Expert in Photovoltaic (PV) to lead technical and economic analyses for PV projects in Abu Dhabi. Responsibilities include conducting feasibility studies, managing project specifications and budgets, overseeing technical consultants, and supervising construction and commissioning of PV plants. Candidates should have 4-6 years of experience in the PV industry, strong communication skills, and knowledge of PV market players and components.Purpose for the roleTo lead technical and techno-economic analyses and design aspects for Masdar Photovoltaic (PV) projects in less complex nature in terms of partnership structure, project structure, geographical location, technology, risk exposure, etc. As part of an integrated project team, to prepare and agree on project specifications, budgets and timescales with contractors, clients or other stakeholders, and to define basic design, and create or review test procedures for PV plant components such as foundation, PV modules and converters.Key AccountabilitiesResponsible for screening, studies and other technical support to assess potential PV Power projects for Masdar.Conduct pre-screening and/or technical feasibility studies of PV projects including identification of technical risk.Perform concept design works for PV projects and propose optimised plant layout.Contracting and supervision of technical consultants for PV Projects development.Manage on-site solar resource assessment with ground measurement including procurement and installation processes.Carry out studies and optimise plant configuration for PV projects.Perform solar resource, energy yield assessment and data analysis by using state-of-the-art modelling tools (PV System).Procure and supervise geotechnical, topographical and other relevant studies for PV projects.Participation in all phases of RFP and tenders for PV Power project.Provide technical requirements to be included in all RFPs for EPC, O&M and/or plant components.Participate in (EPC, O&M and/or main equipment) contract negotiation regarding technical aspects.Construction and commissioning supervision of PV Power plants.Technical support to PV projects/assets.Contact with PV Power related institutions and forums.Contribution to stakeholder relations.Build and maintain a network of relevant contacts to support daily activities and long-term objectives of the team.Compliance with standards and forms.Qualifications4-6 years of experience in the PV industry (preferably with an IPP/EPC, engineering firm or technical consultant) or equivalent experience.Knowledge of PV market players and PV components.Experienced user in PVSystem and basic knowledge in using AutoCAD.Battery Storage knowledge and/or experience would be desirable.Exceptional communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, diverse environment.Ability to prioritize actions and work within a diverse team.Project management skills and planning and organising skills.Attention to detail.#J-18808-Ljbffr
