Job Description

KEY RESULTS ACCOUNTABILITIESParticipate in the management of innovation laboratories, inventory their outputs, and maximize their use to develop specialized work at the institutional and sector levels.Participate in the preparation, development, and implementation of innovation laboratory plans, institutional research plans, and partnership plans.Any additional responsibilities as advised by the Department Director.Commitment to the quality standards and requirements of the Roads and Transport Authority, the Authority’s policies, its relations with customers, suppliers, and employees, and the implementation of duties and responsibilities in accordance with the rules of business ethics of the Roads and Transport Authority.Supervising and leading the planning and implementation of projects related to innovation and leadership management, including preparing the scope of work, selecting appropriate consultants for implementation, and following up on the implementation stages.Supervising self‑evaluation and simulation, according to the requirements and standards of excellence, following up on the analysis of the results, and developing appropriate corrective measures to ensure the highest levels of readiness for the Authority’s participation in excellence programs.Technical and specialized support to ensure the implementation of all excellence programs in the Authority in a manner that achieves the expectations of the leadership.Supervising the evaluation and work activities of consultants and service providers to manage innovation and leadership.Propose specific initiatives and projects that enhance readiness to meet the requirements and standards of the Dubai Excellence Program, thus contributing to the sustainability of the first positions in the various categories of the award (elite – variable – individuals).Providing support and technical advice in developing and managing the intellectual property management system at the authority level.Participate and provide support to the relevant departments in managing the Authority’s relations with external parties regarding specialized scientific studies and research, and establishing strategic partnerships with research centres and supervising them to serve the Authority in the areas of innovation and development.Support and provide advice in preparing the department’s budget, projects and initiatives.Provide professional and technical advice to the department director on specialized matters and activities related to the department’s specialized area.Providing technical and specialized support in the development processes and sustainable implementation of the department’s specialized strategies in the areas of research, development, innovation and compliance with relevant policies at the authority level.Participate in developing a comprehensive management plan and supervising implementation including regular measurement and recommendation of management‑related best practices.Participate and support in implementing plans and programs for research, innovation, partnerships, and pioneering practices, and managing a central database for research, innovations, intellectual property, and partnerships.Participate in preparing and updating policies, manuals, and processes that support the department’s work.Follow global trends in innovation, knowledge, research, excellence, partnerships, pioneering practices, and competitive indicators, and work with the organisational units in the Authority to ensure alignment with work plans and initiatives to achieve leadership positions in specialised work.Participate in developing and activating the work mechanisms necessary to measure and monitor the level of maturity for innovation, research, partnerships and excellence within the Authority.QualificationsEducationBachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Management from a recognised university.Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.Certificate in EFQM, ISO 9001, Six Sigma, and Business Process Management is preferred.14+ years’ work experience in a related field.SkillsExceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing.Resourceful team player who excels at building trusting relationships with customers and colleagues.Highly analytical thinker with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinising, improving, and streamlining complex work processes.Computer‑literate performer with extensive software proficiency covering a wide variety of applications.Goal‑driven leader who maintains a productive climate and confidently motivates, mobilises, and coaches employees to meet high performance standards.Results‑driven achiever with exemplary planning and organisational skills, along with a high degree of detail orientation.Flexible team player who thrives in environments requiring the ability to effectively prioritise and juggle multiple concurrent projects.Innovative problem‑solver who can generate workable solutions and resolv
