Expeditor - Control Tower

The Expeditor is responsible for collecting, verifying, and organizing all shipment documentation to ensure smooth and compliant processing. The role supports the transportation and control tower teams by ensuring all documents are complete, accurate, and aligned with regulatory requirements before shipments move forward.Key ResponsibilitiesRequest, collect, and verify all required documents from shippers or exporters.Ensure the Shipper’s Letter of Instruction (SLI) is complete and accurate, including HS codes and routing details.Review and validate the documentation checklist with support teams.Confirm all documents are uploaded correctly and add any required notes or comments.Resolve missing or inaccurate documentation issues with shippers.Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and customs requirements.Communicate shipment readiness to the transportation and control tower teams.Note any special cargo instructions (e.g., DG, reefer, military, pharma).Maintain organized digital records and proper document storage.Prepare documentation status updates and completion reports.Required Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of logistics and export documentation (SLI, invoices, packing lists, certificates, etc.).Understanding of customs and regulatory requirements.High attention to detail and strong accuracy in document handling.Excellent communication and coordination skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight timelines.Strong organizational and record‑keeping skills.Familiarity with Control Tower systems, TMS, or document platforms.QualificationsDiploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, documentation, or expediting.Experience in control tower operations is an advantage.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)First‑submission documentation accuracy.Turnaround time for document completion.Reduction in shipment delays caused by documentation issues.Compliance with regulatory requirements.Responsiveness and quality of communication with shippers.#J-18808-Ljbffr
